Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists that he does not“have any difficulty“ with Paul Pogba being pictured on a shore with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane from the UAE.
Was spotted speaking to Zidane in Dubai this week – fuelling speculation regarding his future at Old Trafford.
Asked about the picture, Solskjaer said:“Here we go with the image! I’ve never heard Paul Pogba say he doesn’t want to be here. Paul would like to remain and play well.“
However, one journalist had been swift to point out Pogba stated“it could be time for a new challenge“ at the summertime while his representative, Mino Raiola, affirmed that he wanted to leave United.
Zidane was keen to deliver Pogba to the Bernabeu – and is still set on becoming the France worldwide – but Solskjaer states that the midfielder plays a key role in his United vision.
„Paul is part of our plan going forward,“ added Solskjaer.
„He has been playing through the pain barrier. He’s been criticised centre , right and left, but he could not played when he came back against Arsenal and Rochdale.
„He wished to play, he wanted to attempt and get back and it had been too painful. He’s had a scan, so he is on the back and he’s been off, working but he’s away from here.
„Then there’s a picture and being at Manchester United you do get pictures and speculation – but I don’t have any problem with this at all.“
David de Gea, the United goalkeeper, has been injured on Tuesday in the European Qualifier from Sweden of Spain.
Solskjaer provided a update 1, although he will miss United’s game live on Sky Sports Premier League.
„I really don’t expect him to playwith, but it was not as bad as feared,“ said Solskjaer.
„After I saw the injury I thought,’That is him out before the upcoming global break‘ because we’ve had some long-term muscle accidents. But it is not quite as bad as feared.“
