WBSS final: Josh Taylor vows to prove he is best in world vs Regis Prograis

Josh Taylor thinks he’ll prove he is the 140lbs fighter on the planet by defeating Regis Prograis in London.
Taylor faces fellow world champion Prograis in the final of the World Boxing Super Series final in The O2 on October 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
‚The Tartan Tornado‘ will place his IBF belt on the line, while southpaw Prograis threats his WBA’Super‘ and WBC Diamond belts in an attempt to land the coveted Muhammad Ali Trophy.
„I am looking ahead. The first time here fighting here headlining at The O2, therefore I excited for it. I can not wait,“ explained Taylor (15-0, KOs 12).
„I am totally confident in the struggle. I think I’m bigger than him, even more powerful than himquicker than him and that I punch as hard so I think I can beat him.
„If he comes to walk down, I think I’ll walk him right into a shooter and get him out of there. Otherwise, I could outbox him which I’m totally confident I can win this battle.
„I believe Regis and myself are No 1 No 2 in the division and we are the two guys to beat and we’re likely to establish it on October 26.
„This is my time to shine and that I can’t see him beating me at all. I’m super confident.“
New Orleans-born Prograis, who’s awakened 24 wins because turning pro in 2012, is determined to seize the opportunity to write his name in the record books.
„Most fighters do not get this chance in a life and we are getting this chance at this time. You’ve got four things on the line; his title, the title, WBA, IBF, the Ali Trophy and The Ring Magazine name this is on the line.
„I had a late start but a great deal of fighters are fighting 20, 30 years and never get this opportunity, so for me it is like an opportunity of a life. That is history, this is my own heritage and I’m ecstatic to do it in London in The O2, I can’t wait.
„No 1 No 2, you don’t receive this, two undefeated fighters in their prime that are winners. This is a enormous show and I am excited to participate in it.
„He’s taller than me, he is more than me, however, for me, none of that stuff things. I can’t see ways to beat me. Not to be cocky or arrogant but I can not see how he can defeat me.“
