Former-Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United star Henrik Larsson has been cut to become the new director of floundering Southend United.
The Essex outfit find themselves sitting third-bottom of League One, with lost seven of the nine matches.
Boss Kevin Bond lasted just 15 matches, and if Larsson receive the gig at Roots Hall, he’ll be hoping to get a longer, and more successful, tenure.
A whopping 81% of stakes in this marketplace have been placed on Larsson, and believing he had been current at Southend fixture–a 1-0 victory away at MK Dons–punters have made their minds up.
Present caretaker manager Gary Waddock is second-favourite for its project at 9/2, while former-Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is way out at 14/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson:“It’s been a disastrous start to the season for Southend, but the Shrimpers are still two points from security in this early stage of the season.
