Two-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has her trainer dividing with Jermaine Jenkins in the wake of her disappointing US Open title defence.
Jenkins, a hitting partner of Venus Williams, replaced Sascha Bajin at February at the Australian Open following Osaka’s victory.
„I’m super thankful for the time we spent together and the things I heard on and off the court but that I feel like today is a suitable time for modification,“ the Western 21-year-old composed on Twitter.
„Appreciate you, forever heated by you… Thanks for all, this was a blast.“
Top seed former world No 1 Osaka, in Flushing Meadows struggled with a knee issue prior to being bothered by 13th seed Belinda Bencic in straight sets at the round.
It continued a challenging season because her second Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park for its power hitter , with exits at Wimbledon and the French Open.
The Australian Open win produced her Asia world No 1 and also the player of any nation to assert the first two Grand Slam titles back since Jennifer Capriati at 2001.
Her early departure from New York has witnessed her slide supporting Karolina Pliskova Ashleigh Barty and Elina Svitolina to four.
