Huddersfield and castleford have expanded a swap deal involving utility back Jordan Rankin and second-rower Joe Wardle.
Rankin moved on loan together with Wardle returning Huddersfield as part of their bargain, in the beginning of the 2019 Super League season, and both players will remain with their clubs for 2020.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell is thrilled to secure the assistance of Rankin, a 27-year-old Australian who scored 18 goals and 11 attempts in 22 appearances in 2019.
„Jordan has been outstanding for us this season and we are delighted to have him on board moving forward,“ Powell explained.
„He has been a quality player for us, particularly when he transferred into full-back, so I’m absolutely delighted he’ll be with us and I am confident he’ll reach further heights as a player in the Tigers.“
Rankin stated:“I can not tell you that the last time I’ve been as happy playing for a group like I am playing for Cas.“
28, who played with the Giants from 2011 linked up with younger brother Jake in his return and, following an injury-hit year, is excited about renewing the household venture next year.
„I am delighted to be playing the Giants at 2020,“ Wardle said.
„I’m excited to return at a bar with my brother and watch his development as well as work hard for both sides “
