Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The last time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson confronted, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former that emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson could have had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close this time around speaks to how well he cried in the very first meeting, while also nodding towards just how much he has improved his fast-twitch stamina.
Nevertheless, Jones, who hasn’t fought 17 weeks, has mostly dominated everybody he’s come around in the Octagon. This battle should take more gas than he’s used to using up, but he must pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
