I released several FanDuel MLB DFS Picks yesterday prior to Game 4 of the ALCS becoming postponed, but with all the match set to happen tonight, Ive tweaked my selections a little bit as we now know that the starting pitchers will function as the Astros Zack Greinke chooses about the Yankees Masahiro Tanaka.
Lets dive in and see what we could do on this particular single-game slate!
MVP — Gary Sanchez (NYY) — $5,500 vs. HOU
Theres no change here as milk the value we could get out his strong bat and I still want to get Sanchez. As a I noted Sanchez has not been a successful postseason actor for this stage in his MLB profession and is enduring a difficult postseason his power is undeniable. Sanchez clubbed 34 home runs in just 106 games and 446 plate appearances this season and his ISO fell just short of .300 at .293 — a enormous number to be sure. The fantastic news with this is that we know his splits from the 2019 season favor such a matchup along with Sanchez is going to deal with a right-handed pitcher . The Sanchez submitted a .302 ISO, .867 OPS, .357 wOBA and 123 wRC+ on the season against pitching. Sanchez has not hit a home run because back on September 3rd (that he wasnt playing everyday down the stretch), but he homered twice that day and homered twice only three matches prior to that on August 31st. The point here is that Sanchez has as much run as any other hitter and in only $5,500 Ill take his power and double it tonight.
All-Star — Aaron Judge (NYY) — $8,500 vs. HOU
Even though Sanchez has scuffled a few in this postseason, which isnt true with Judge who has enjoyed plenty of success in the postseason in the past as well and has had a postseason. Judge is hitting .318 having an .889 OPS in the 2019 postseason. Judge is hitting on .270 using a .971 OPS across 107 profession postseason plate looks. He will enter this you riding a three-game hit series with a home run at the time to go along with a walk and a run scored. Needless to say, there is a lot of power within this series such as Sanchez above Judge might reign supreme in that section. He owns a career .285 ISO, a number he fell just short of with a .267 ISO this year with 27 home runs at an injury-shortened 102 regular season games. Contrary to Sanchez, Judges splits are conventional as he pummeled pitching this year — especially at home — but also hit right-handers for a .251 ISO, .847 OPS, .354 wOBA along with a wRC+ around the summer. Given how the bat has performed along with the energy on tap, I like the notion of netting 1.5x ray Judges dream points within this one tonight.
UTIL — Gleyber Torres (NYY) — $7,500 vs. HOU
Just like it is his day job in this series next person up in this stack is Torres who is really having any Yankees postseason and is hitting home run. Entering this 1 tonight, Torres owns a .417 average and 1.440 OPS because of hitting three home runs, all of which have come over his last four games including Tuesdays Game 3. Torres also has added four drops while he is coming from a 1 for 2 with a home run and performance from Tuesday. Torres amounts were every so slightly enhanced against left-handed pitching this year, however the power numbers were nearly identical as he posted a .256 ISO against righties and also a .257 ISO against lefties. He hit righties to get a .258 ISO, .845 OPS, .343 wOBA and 115 wRC this season. While I went to own him this lineup the fact, due to his recency hes enjoyed lots of success from Greinke affirms his spot. The young middle infielder as gone 4 for 8 with a homer and two doubles in his career against the veteran right-hander. Add it all up and I want Torres inside this lineup for tonights Game 4.
UTIL — Giancarlo Stanton (NYY) — $6,000 vs. HOU
Theres no guarantee that Stanton gets into the lineup , but I do not care. We all know he is available to pinch-hit off the seat in this one and also when the Yankees are down in this game you bet Aaron Boone will give a shot this evening to place to the huge slugger. Hes a lock at $ 6,000 for me and that I would look at swapping him and Judge from the All-Star place to catch additional value if he can start. It is difficult to base anything from regular season figures for Stanton since he played in just 18 regular season games, but we could have a look out of that time in his 139 wRC + and see he was a bat despite his harm. IU mean, its Giancarlo Stanton. Yes, hes had difficulty staying healthy during his big league career, but he possesses a .279 career ISO and boasts some of the finest power baseball has to offer. Hes hit only .238 in his career against Greinkehe does have two home streak in 21 at-bats from himso the power remains with a .286 ISO and .857 OPS from the right-hander. This cost is simply too attractive and I would suppose that Stanton does really get into the starting lineup following yesterdays rainout afford him an additional days rest.
UTIL — Michael Brantley (HOU) — $7,000 vs. NYY
Michael Brantley has to find his power stroke and he scuffled for much of the show from the Rays, but his bat is now coming around at the right time for the Astros. Brantley is coming off a successful Game 3 in and a run scored. That put him to a .250 ordinary and .638 OPS for the playoffs, maybe not terrible considering that he was hitting .125 using a .250 OPS entering Game 5 against the Rays. I want to become more left-wing bats in this lineup contemplating the brief porch in right field at Yankee Stadium the four Yankees bats above simply made too much sense to me thinking about cost, power and recency factors. Against right-handed pitching this year, Brantley submitted a .323 typical, .226 ISO, .928 OPS, .385 wOBA and a 146 wRC+. The numbers increased slightly on the street against righties as Minute Maid Park in Houston is a place on right-handed power hitters. Hes going to give you a and he is extremely difficult to hit out, so at least we know the ball will be put into play tonight. Hes gone 5 to 19 (.263) against Tanaka in his profession, but also with a homer and two doubles, great to get a .263 ISO along with .826 OPS. If all goes to plan, hell put more, or one, in the short porch in right area tonight.
