Police are investigating former Germany Christoph Metzelder over allegations of distributing child pornography.
A statement by the Hamburg attorney general’s office stated the 38-year-old is accused of being sent images with child pornographic content to your receiver in Hamburg through WhatsApp.
Hamburg police completed two hunts at Dusseldorf on Tuesday.
Metzelder is thought to possess co-operated with the government.
The substance will now be evaluated, and the analysis persists.
Metzelder has been a part of the squads for the 2002 and 2006 World Cups and won over 40 caps for Germany.
The centre-back helped prior to winning La Liga with Real Madrid at the 2007-08 season, Borussia Dortmund win the 2001-2002 Bundesliga title.
