Even when the rebranded (is it a rebranding if you’re just going back to an older brand? Do brands work? Someone get me a new strategist on the phone) Charlotte Hornets are not anything near to title contenders, they will at least look great as they try to improve on the No. 7 seed that they grabbed as the Bobcats last year.
The new duds are slick, and Lance Stephenson will infuse the club with tons of“no, no, YES!“ razzle-dazzle. Additionally, but rookie big man Noah Vonleh is intriguing, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s jumper appears more like a shot than a contortionist pattern gone horribly wrong.

Suffice it to say the accession of Stephenson and more moments for Kidd-Gilchrist could assist the league’s sixth-ranked defense make even better this season. If the offense around focal point Al Jefferson also improves (which it might with Kemba Walker heading right into a contract season ), the Bugs could certainly climb the playoff ladder.
