A Bulgarian player told the England squad that the racist abuse they endured in Sofia in their own European Qualifier was coordinated and overburdened, Sky Sports News knows.
The participant, who has not been appointed, felt he needed to apologise to the England squad and then explain what he knew after the match, which ended at a 6-0 win.
Officials confirmed to Sky Sports News in the next half of the match that approximately 50 individuals, dressed in black, have been ejected during the interval from the scene.
The team have been viewed giving Nazi salutes and are thought to be affiliated to a group.
In the next half, there was widespread racist abuse of Englands black players as a consequence of the ejection.
However, some fighter chants were directed to the England players.
