Later this month, siskin will run in the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket rather than That the Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned Siskin is unbeaten most recently providing his trainer Ger Lyons with a first Group One success in Ireland last month, when landing the Phoenix Stakes.
Relations have elected to keep their powder dry for the Middle Park on September 28, a race sponsored by his proprietor, although he had been a potential to lock horns Pinatubo on the second day of Irish Champions Weekend.
Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe explained:“At the back of the heads the Middle Park was the race we were looking at most of us.
„We just feel he’s better suited sticking to six furlongs at this phase.“
Away from the back of Siskin’s absence, Paddy Power make Pinatubo their 1-2 favourite for its National Stakes, at 11-4 second greatest with all the Aidan O’Brien-trained Futurity Stakes winner Armory.
