This month, siskin will run at Newmarket as Opposed to That the Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.
The Khalid Abdullah-owned Siskin is unbeaten in four starts thus far, most recently supplying his trainer Ger Lyons using a first Group One victory in Ireland when shooting the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last month.
Relations have chosen to continue to keep their powder dry to the Middle Park on September 28, a race sponsored by his owner, although he had been a possible to lock horns favourite Pinatubo on the second evening of Irish Champions Weekend.
Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said:“At the back of our heads the Middle Park was always the race we were looking at most of us.
„We just feel he is better satisfied sticking into six furlongs at this point.“
Off the back of Siskin’s lack, Paddy Power create Pinatubo their 1-2 favorite for the National Stakes, at 11-4 second best together with all the Aidan O’Brien-trained Futurity Stakes winner Armory.
