Its been a wild ride so far as I continue to stay over water in this competition of 282 entries. After fourteen days, Im tied to eighth place, a half-point out of seventh, one game from two points out of first, which pays 40% of the pot.
I have had some ups and downs, and certainly a few lucky breaks.
In Week 1, I moved 6-1 however my failure was Nebraska -4 in Colorado. Head coach Scott Frosts drama calls were so terrible as well as the Buffs pulled out a 34-31 OT win still had an opportunity in OT although the Cornhuskers were up 17-0 at the half gave up 24 from the fourth quarter. That craziness prevented me.
In Week 2, I went 3-1 with college dogs which included carrying West Virginia +6.5 at house vs NC State along with the Eagles of Eastern Michigan +7 against Big Ten school Illinois. Not only did both cover but they won straight up. You do a bit of confidence to get when you are pulling games out up like that.
In Week 3, this is a 2-5 total beatdown, my sole shedding week. I had too many tough losses per week and they did just this, although I did call Appalachian State to triumph by a field goal vs UNC. I chased Michigan over Wisconsin that week and this match was a failure from the start. At the NFL, Id the Falcons +2 from the Colts and they lose three despite outgaining the Colts in every offensive stat except that the one that really counts and thats the scoreboard.
In Week 4, I had been really confident with the in your home versus the Patriots and a lot happened in that match and I was lucky to pay that game with a point.
I went and that comprised Oregon State as a 6-point dog that won straight up and Stanford as a 16-point dog that also won up and the two teams won by double digits. WOW… I actually have to pat myself on the back for those 2 Pac-12 beauties. Since I have a garbage-time touchdown with 10 seconds left from the Texas 12-yard lineup fourth-and-10 I also pulled a tie +11 with West Virginia.
In Week 6 I have learned the hard way to never bet against the Wisconsin Badgers and lost in a blowout. Im 0-2 gambling against these and halftime did both games. Wisconsin may be the best staff in the country if you do 24, and sleeping on them at this point is just plain absurd. However I went 6-1 ATS for the third time in a few weeks. I moved at the competition taking the Houston Texans. I won together +5 vs the Chiefs and in Week 1 if they were +7 from the Big Easy against the Saints.
So all in all, I am still in it at 28-13-1 and will just hope I make smart picks and whether I use the drive, throw a coin or throw darts to make themit doesnt matter as long as I continue to be on the ideal side more often than not.
